Liverpool MP Louise Ellman talks West Coast rail

By Bethan Hockey

Louise Ellman is Labour/Co-operative MP for Liverpool Riverside and has been since 1997.

We sat down with Mrs Ellman, who is Chair of the Transport Select Committee, to discuss the West Coast railway contract and the controversial decision to award the operating francise to First Group rather than Virgin Trains.

We also wanted to find out why she believes that the bus service is the Cinderella of public transport.
