Bringing Laughs to Liverpool, Four Candles Comedy Club

By Colin Bailey

Regular viewers of BayTV Liverpool will be no strangers to the many varied delights on offer at the chic hangout, House on Bold Street in Liverpool city centre.

One such offering, in the stylish and relaxed venue, is the increasingly popular 'Four Candles Comedy Club'.

Each and every Saturday the cream of the emerging comedy crop are gathered together by organisers Iain Christie and Sam Avery to entertain in an intimate setting.

The duo hope to make the night stand out from other offerings by ensuring large groups stay away and by welcoming a more discerning audience to enjoy fine dining, table drinks service and an atmosphere convivial and comedic.

Now having placed half a dozen nights under their belt, we caught up with Iain and Sam who were keen to welcome us along to sample what looks set to become a successful venture.

Headline act was Welshman Noel James who the Independent described as "Standing out like a droll giant in a comedy land of trite dwarfs".

Shows start every Saturday at 9pm, last food orders 8pm.
