Level UP for Liverpool's high street with arcade crowdfunding project

By Eamonn Lavery

Retro gaming shop 'Level UP' started with half empty shelves filled only with owner Lucy Myatt's personal collection but has since required two moves into larger premises to account for growing stock and popularity.

Now Lucy is now aiming to move onto the high street and open a much larger shop which continues to offer a wide selection of retro video games and comic books at competitive prices.

In addition to this her plan invloves opening an arcade cafe, 'Eat UP'. A place that will serve quality food at very affordable prices, a place that will offer a relaxed atmosphere to sit and read comics from our in house library or play our video games set up around store.

Largely due to the current economic climate, Lucy was not granted a business loan, so she has decided to crowdfund the project using website www.indiegogo.com.
