Historic 'Liverpool Class' lifeboat at Albert Dock Pirate Festival

Hoylake and lifeboats have a long history, dating back to 1803. The original lifeboat station was decomissioned in the last few years, and the Hoylake Lifeboat Museum has since formed and taken over the historic building.

One of their boats, the William Cantrell Ashley is based in Liverpool's famed Albert Dock and provides pleasure trips and educational journeys. We caught up with the chair of the museum while we were at the Albert Dock Pirate Festival and found out a bit more...
